Sinus Issues
Acute sinusitis causes cavities around your nasal passages (sinuses) to be inflamed and swollen.
This interferes with drainage and causes mucus to build up. With acute sinusitis, it might be difficult to breathe through your nose.
The area around your eyes and face might be swollen, and you might have throbbing facial pain or a headache.
How Salt Therapy works
The natural healing salt particles are able to penetrate deeply into infected sinus cavities, thinning mucous secretions allowing drainage and removing trapped pockets of bacteria and debris.
The salt is also able to absorb oedema in mucosal linings, widening passages, reducing inflammation and creating relief for the sufferer.
This reduction in inflammation has a healing flow-on effect to other areas of the body, including lowering the release of histamine helping the sufferer to be less reactive.
Salt has natural antibacterial and antifungal properties and is able to assist the body’s innate ability to resist further infection, significantly reducing the need for antibiotics.
